Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies Harmony Lights Studio uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the link in our website footer.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use your browser's local storage (which works similarly) to remember your cart, favourites, and preferences. Some technologies are strictly necessary for the shop to function; others are optional and only activate with your consent.
Necessary — always on
These are required for essential website functions and cannot be turned off:
- Shopping cart & favourites (browser storage): remembers what you added to your cart and which candles you hearted, so they are still there when you return.
- Cookie-consent choice (browser storage): remembers your Accept / Reject / Preferences selection so we don't ask you on every page.
- Live-chat identity (browser storage): remembers the name you gave in the chat bubble so the conversation continues smoothly.
- Admin session (secure, HttpOnly cookie): keeps the shop owner's private admin area logged in. Visitors never receive this cookie.
- Security rate limits (server-side): anonymous, hashed records that protect forms and logins from abuse. No tracking involved.
- Stripe checkout: when you pay, you are taken to Stripe's secure checkout page, which uses its own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy to process your payment safely.
Analytics cookies — optional, off until you consent
Status: not currently active. If we enable an analytics service in the future (for example Google Analytics), it will only load after you choose "Accept All" or enable "Analytics Cookies" in your preferences. We will update this page to name the service when that happens.
Advertising cookies — optional, off until you consent
Status: not currently active. No advertising service (such as Google AdSense or Meta Pixel) is installed or running on this website today. If that ever changes, advertising technologies will only load after your explicit consent, and this page will name them.
Managing your choices
- Use the footer link to reopen settings and change or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings; this removes your stored cart, favourites, and consent choice (we'll simply ask again on your next visit).
